Coronavirus: new adaptations of the PACES competition in Toulouse

The duration of the PACES competition tests will be reduced by half and no longer by two-thirds in Toulouse, as originally planned. In addition, the coefficients of the June tests will be reduced compared to those of January. Due to the health crisis, the second part of the PACES competition is postponed to the second half of June, everywhere in France.

The medical students were standing up against the measure. Finally, the University of Toulouse (31) let’s go a little ballast by again redeveloping the second part of the PACES competition, postponed to the second part of June.

What changes to the PACES competition in Toulouse?

The duration of the tests will be reduced by half and no longer by two-thirds, as originally planned. In addition, the questions will only relate to the courses carried out before confinement.

Paul Sabatier University also announced to students that the coefficients for the June exams will be reduced compared to those for January. A petition against the first arrangements announced had collected more than 2,600 signatures.

2,400 candidates are registered in PACES and spread over three faculties in Toulouse: Purpan, Rangueil and Maraîchers. Three separate competitions must be organized in a tense health context.
